First Week Wrap Up

Seasonal Anime First Week Wrap Up

With my Bungo Stray Dogs Review done, I’ve seen and reviewed most the premieres I wanted to see this season. I didn’t think I would manage it, and there are some shows I didn’t get around to writing about, but I think I did a pretty good job. By the way, I watched RobiHachi, OnePunchman 2, and Sarazanmai as well. Quick thoughts:

RobiHachiFun first episode. Will live and die by the relationship between its two leads. Reminds me of Tiger and Bunny.

OnePunchman 2Yes, the animation is worse, but it’s still the same show in the end. If you liked the first season, then you’ll probably enjoy this second season premiere. Storywise, it’s about the same.

Sarazanmai: Weird. Very, very weird. I’m a little worried about how they’ll handle these kinda sexual situations with such young protagonists and the “secret” one of the mains reveals at the end of the first episode, but its Ikuhara, so I’m here for the whole ride unless there’s something really off putting.

Which brings us to what I’m watching this season:

  1. Fruits Basket (2019)
  2. Kimetsu no Yaiba
  3. Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin
  4. Bungo stray dogs
  5. OnePunchman 2
  6. RobiHachi
  7. Sarazanmai

It’s been a few days since I posted and during that time, I realized that keeping up with every show as it airs is something I’m not going to be able to do. So I’m shelving discussion of the seasonals until around the midseason, where I’ll write up my thoughts about the show’s first half. Sorry if you were looking forward to weekly discussion. Rest assured that if anything really big happens before then, I’ll definitely post about it.

Future Plans

Rather than reviewing seasonals all the time, I want to focus more on the other stuff I’m watching and reading. Blog posts will slow down to about once or twice a week. While I will focus a lot on anime and manga, I also watch a lot of superhero movies and am trying to back into the comics. Those things will start turning up on my blog sooner or later, especially with Avengers: Endgame just around the corner.

Since I’m doing less, blog posts will probably end up being  longer. Don’t hold me too much to that one. Also I tend to have a lot of text, so I think I’ll try to start incorporating more images. My next post will most likely be about Vanitas no Carte, a manga series I’ve been reading and enjoying. This is also lets me talk more about things I like. Oh, and there’s a new Winx Club season starting, so expect one more premiere review when it comes out in English.

Misc.

Been reading over some of my reviews. In the end, I have mixed feelings about them. I kept going back and forth over whether I want them to be for people who have or haven’t seen the show, and I think that shows. Sometimes they have more specific details, but sometimes they don’t. I’ll probably end up just putting a blanket spoiler warning in the sidebar, but that won’t help people on the reader. Maybe I’ll just put up a disclaimer when something big happens.

Well, that’s all I wanted to say. I started this blog because I had fallen into a writing slump. I felt like I needed to be writing something, but I didn’t have any ideas for plots. All I was doing was watching and reading other stuff.  Then I thought, why not blog about it? And here we are. Hope someone’s getting something out of all this lol.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Your blog plans sound pretty neat. If you are going to be inserting images, best use imgur. Some image hosting sites that were free once have either put a cap on how many images you can have till you have to pay aka Flickr. Or places like photo bucket have to pay.

      1. Depends on how many images you will be using. For now you’ll be fine as you have about 6+ gig of space, if you ever want host else where to save space then yeah.
